Joint Custody — of the Kids and the Blog

Once upon a time, a mommy blogger was married to a daddy blogger, and they had two babies. The mommy gave advice to other parents at AskMoxie.org. The Daddy lost his job and blogged about being a stay-at-home father at LaidOffDad.org.

Two years ago the mommy and daddy decided that while they loved their boys, they were no longer able to live with each other and decided to divorce. They wrestled over custody details and eventually decided to try a 50/50 arrangement — the boys spend three nights in a row at mommy’s apartment, then three nights in a row at daddy’s, and the seventh night is an every-other-week deal.

They also decided to blog about it. Together.

This week Magda Pecsenye and Doug French introduced their latest creation, WhenTheFlamesGoUp.com, where they plan to write about the successes and frustrations of their co-parenting arrangement.
