Study: It's your fight style, not the fight, that may lead to divorce

It's reasonable to assume that couples who scream and throw things at each other are the most likely to eventually divorce. However, a study recently published by the University of Michigan reports that this is not necessarily the case.

They studied 373 couples over a span of 16 years, beginning with the first year of marriage to see if they could determine risks of divorce based on fighting styles.

They discovered a surprisingly toxic fighting style, studied the differences between men and women's fighting styles, and analyzed whether or not the amount of fighting during the first year of marriage affected the chances for divorce.
