Families come in all shapes and sizes, and co-parenting comes with legal issues
For many years gays and lesbians have been joining together in a way that is much more personal than their goal of equality. This joint venture is the creation of a child, or even more importantly, a family.
Whether it is a gay man (or couple) and a lesbian woman (or couple) using the man’s sperm to inseminate the woman or two lesbians joining together to create a child by using artificial insemination, the fact that a child is being created cannot be overlooked.
By creating a child, those involved place themselves in the position that can be legally challenged or legally enforced in ways not expected.
